On The Road To Kelowna

On Friday morning we left Cranbrook and headed off to Kelowna to visit Dad for the weekend. It was a really good weekend. Here are some pictures from the trip there.

This was at Christina Lake. It was really beautiful. The lake was still frozen and it was raining.

What's Happening!

Well I am sitting here having a cup of coffee and just thinking. Blaine is still in bed and there is nothing on TV. I have tons of stuff to do but am not feeling very good this morning (well, I guess it isn't morning anymore). It is the day after the time change and I forgot to set my clocks ahead last night so I have already lost an hour today. I can feel that I am getting a cold. This morning I woke up to a sore throat and I am coughing. Oh well...

Last night we watched the announcement that Terrace is Hockeyville. This is great news! We hope to get tickets for the game in September.

This weekend Blaine and I have been working hard around the house. I am going to try to do some more today. It is starting to feel very comfortable. Yesterday we hung some more pictures and I found my Bradford Exchange plates and put them out. Today I want to finish putting clothes away. This can be difficult, as it seems that there is never enough room.

About a month ago I bought a new phone with three handsets. This was great. It was just what I wanted. Sadly, we had to return the phones on this past Thursday. They were not working properly. So we got another set of the same phone to try because we liked it. We ended up returning these ones on Saturday because already they were not working. So after all that we decided to get one that is a completely different brand. So the first 2 that we got and returned were GE and the new one that we got yesterday is Panasonic. They are supposed to be good so I hope that we don't have any problems!

Well now that my coffee is gone, I suppose I should attempt to get back to work.

Our New Furniture!

We bought our new couch and loveseat from Ashley Furniture and got it delivered this past Tuesday. I am so happy to finally have nice furniture. It is something I have wanted for a long time. We are also starting to get our pictures hung up on the walls and it is feeling more homey all the time!



Here is the loveseat. It is great that both sides have recliners!

Here is the couch. It has 2 recliners also but only one is opened here.
