New Hair Cut

Yesterday I got my hair cut. It was so long before. I almost decided against it but decided to go through with it after all.

The Weekend Off Work!

Well this month is seeming to go by very fast. I can't believe that it's already the 17th! Soon it will be fall. The temperature is starting to cool a bit now but it's still nice and warm.

I don't usually get my days off on the weekend, however this weekend I did so Blaine and I finally have a couple days off together. We have lots of stuff to do! Tomorrow morning we are going to go out for breakfast. I am looking forward to it because I love breakfast and it is so rare that we get to have it together. Then we have a bunch of other stuff that we are going to do.

Tomorrow I am planning to get my hair cut. I think I will cut it short again. It's so long now, it seems sad to cut it all off but I want to. I'm ready for a change.

Well I guess that is all that is new right now. I will update again soon. I'm sure I will have more stuff to add after the weekend.

New Flowers

I just got this new plant on Tuesday. I just couldn't resist the big, bright flowers! It's a Gerbera Daisy Plant. I haven't had this type of plant before so I am hoping that it will be one that will last and not die for no reason!! I love the pretty flowers.

Baby Red Pandas

On Tuesday, June 26th these 2 rare red pandas were born at the Edmonton Valley Zoo. They are so cute. Now they have lived for 6 weeks, and are doing well. Zookeepers across the continent celebrated the birth. The cubs are part of a very small population of red pandas in the world. It's estimated that there are fewer than 2,500 red pandas alive in the wild because the animals' natural habitat in China, India and Nepal is being destroyed. Forty red pandas are being raised in zoos. The Valley Zoo has joined an international breeding program in an effort to keep the species alive.

The Perfectly Delicious Summer Meal!!

This afternoon I decided that I would prepare one of my favorite summer meals. Since Blaine was at work and it is so hot out today (29 degrees!!) I decided this would be a good way to spend the afternoon on my day off. So I went to the grocery store and picked up some stuff. I got a birthday parcel from Blaine's Mom and it included some awesome epicure spices, dip mixes, recipes and stuff and some other really cool things that I love! Thanks Debbie... So this was my yummy supper... and there is lots left over for tomorrow and the next day!! I wish I had someone to share it with!

Louisiana Hot & Spicy Dip Mix. This is one of the new ones that Debbie sent and it was very good.
Turkey and Black Forest Ham with the best cheese ever: Havarti with jalapenos.

My veggie plateAnd dessert. I got this dip mix from that party last summer too. It is so good. Cherries have been on sale for the past couple weeks for $1.98 a pound which is great because I absolutely love them and I love cantaloupe too!

The Simpsons Movie

We went to see the Simpsons Movie on Sunday night. It was great!!! Really funny.
