Happy Birthday Blaine!!
Happy Birthday Blaine! Blaine had the day off today because he worked on Saturday and Sunday so he took Monday off. I took him out for his favorite breakfast at McDonalds and then we went for a drive out to Invermere and stopped along the way to take some nice autumn pictures. All the leaves have changed colour now and it was such a beautiful, warm day. It was perfect to take pictures. I will post the those pictures soon but don't have enough time right now. We are just about to leave for supper. I am taking Blaine out for a birthday supper at Mr Mikes!
Here is the birthday cake that I got for Blaine.
And here is Blaine this morning, opening the presents that I got for him.

Yesterday Blaine and I got up real early and left town for a road trip to Medicine Hat, AB. It was a lot of fun. We shopped and Blaine went to a card show and we had a great day.

Just A Little Update!
So things are good here. We are still casually looking at houses but not finding anything so far. It is quite interesting to tour a variety of houses on the market though. It was a bit of a disappointment at first but now that we are aware of the situation, I am enjoying looking and comparing properties. We are thinking that we most likely won't find anything soon and it is going to be a long process.
Blaine's birthday is in 11 days now, September 29. Wow! He will be 28! It is hard to believe it's already coming up to his birthday and Christmas is only 3 months away!
I am still looking for work. I just had an interview this morning and I am hoping that something will come of that.
We are planning a trip out to Medicine Hat, AB this weekend. Blaine wants to go to a card show and I am looking forward to a little shopping at Suzy Shier and Le Chateau and maybe dinner at Montana's! I really miss Suzy Shier since we don't have it here!
The weather has been beautiful. It's been 26 -27 degrees all week.
I guess that's it for our news!

A Little Scenery
There is so much beautiful scenery in this area. I just took a few pictures of some of the mountains today. When the leaves change colour for fall Blaine and I are going to go out and take some nice fall pictures again. We did that last year in Edmonton and I really enjoyed it so I wanted to do it again.

This is Fisher Peak.

Deer Everywhere!!
I was just driving down the street today and I saw this deer right on the side of the road. I had the camera in the car with me so I just pulled over a bit and snapped a couple pictures. Deer are pretty much everywhere you go around here. You always see them on the highway but you also see them wandering around town too, in people's yards and on the streets!

Meeting Ben Rutledge

"Canada has won the gold medal in men’s eight rowing, becoming the first world champion crew to follow up with Olympic gold in 35 years."
"Kevin Light, Ben Rutledge, Andrew Byrnes, Jake Wetzel, Malcolm Howard, Dominic Seiterle, Adam Kreek, Kyle Hamilton and coxswain Brian Price won with a time of 5 minutes, 23.89 seconds."

Yesterday there was a ceremony here in Cranbrook for Ben Rutledge. He returned home on Wednesday. Blaine was shooting it and getting interviews for his story. We got to meet him and hold the gold medal. We also got autographs and a picture with him. The medal is really awesome!
Here are our autographed pictures.

Coeur D'Alene, Idaho
Our friend Terry Came to visit us from Gibsons, BC for the Labour Day long weekend. We went down to Coeur D'Alene, Idaho and Spokane, Washington. We had a good time but next time we could use a bit more time! We didn't get a lot of pictures but here are a few. We stayed at the Holiday Inn Express and it was nice. It was right on the lake.

Here are some pics of the hotel.

Here is a picture at the lake. I thought that it really looked beautiful. I wish I had taken more pictures.

These pics were taken outside the hotel.
