More From Our Vacation

We went for a hike in a coastal rainforest. We were planning to hike all the way through the forest and see the Skookumchuck Narrows. We ended up having to turn back before we got all the way through the forest because we underestimated the time it would take and we had plans to meet Terry for supper so we turned back so we wouldn't be late. Also, we would have missed the really good rapids because there are certain times each day when it is best to view them.

I just had to take these pictures because I think these were the biggest maple leaves that I have ever seen!! They were all over the ground. This was just before we got to the rainforest.

There were slugs all over the place and they were huge!! So gross! I really had to watch where I was walking.

Our Vacation - September, 2009

In September we went for our vacation to Gibsons, BC and then over to Seattle, WA. We had a great time! The day we left, we went to Osoyoos first and spent the day and night. Our friend Terry met us there and spent the night too. The next day we took Lacey to the beach in Osoyoos and Blaine and Terry went for a swim. I ran with Lacey up and down the beach. She just loved it!! Then in the later afternoon we hit the road for Gibsons. We didn't leave ourselves any extra time to make it for the last ferry to the Sunshine Coast so we only made one quick stop in Hope along the way for snacks. We made it just in time for the last ferry!

We spent a few days in Gibsons and travelled around the Sunshine coast while we were there. It is a beautiful place and I really enjoyed it. I love the ocean!

These pictures are taken at Davis bay in Sechelt. It was just a really great day and so relaxing.

When Lacey got spayed

This summer Lacey got spayed on August 21. This was a hard decision for us and sometimes I still think about what adorable puppies she would have had and what a great mother she would be. This was the right decision though and we are okay with it.

These pictures are from that evening. She was sore and a bit out of it from the surgery. She just laid there all evening. I laid on the floor with her because she just seemed so sad and I wanted to take care of her.

She did great!

A Little Bit About Life

So it's mid October and I am starting to feel like Christmas is coming. We have had a couple snow falls already and the temperature has dropped quite a bit from a couple weeks ago. I was laid off 2 weeks ago. September 30 was my last day and since then I have been thinking of what to do next. I have had many different ideas but I think that I just need a bit more time.

I am getting married next summer and have so much to plan. It is sometimes a bit overwhelming knowing how much there is to do and having no experience with any of it. Blaine is very involved in everything too and he will help with everything, which I am extremely glad for. There is one thing that I am on my own with though, and that is wedding dress shopping. Next week I think I will go look at wedding dresses.

Lacey is doing good. She is getting her hair cut on Oct 19 (Monday). I am excited to have it short again! She is still as cute as ever.

Blaine is good. He is working, which is good. We went to Edmonton for the Thanksgiving weekend and enjoyed it a lot. We are going to see Matthew Good here in Cranbrook in November which we are both looking forward to!

My Birthday

My birthday was the day that Lacey had her first grooming. She was almost 6 months old so her hair was really long and shaggy!! She was so cute after the hair cute!

Lacey heard something outside and started barking, so I was showing her that nobody was out there! She was very concerned!
