It's Official!

Well today we signed the final papers and removed our conditions. So we are buying the town house for sure! We will get possession on January 16th!

Nelson For The Weekend

This weekend was Blaine's staff Christmas party. It was in Nelson, so we left Cranbrook Saturday afternoon and stayed the night at the hotel and then came back home on Sunday afternoon. I wanted to leave for Nelson earlier in the morning on Saturday so we would have time to shop around for a bit but as it turned out, we didn't end up having the time. I do want to go back in the spring though and spend some time looking around the town because it looked like there were lots of cool shops and the town is really cool looking and the lake is awesome!

The party was at The Prestige Inn which is right down by the lake. The hotel was so nice! We really enjoyed it. The Christmas party was a lot of fun. The dinner was delicious and we won some prizes too. Then there was dancing and that was fun too. Here are a few pictures...

We're Buying A Home!!

We finally found a home that we wanted to buy!! After we went and looked at this town house on Sunday we talked a lot about it. We liked it when we first went to look and then we went for a second look on Tuesday and decided that it would be good for us. We decided to put an offer in on Thursday and then on Friday (today) I was on and off the phone all day negotiating the deal.

Getting Ready for Christmas

This weekend we decided it was time to decorate for Christmas! We put up our tree and did a little decorating. It is so nice to have it done now. I love our tree and all the special decorations on it. We also almost finished all of our Christmas shopping. What a relief it is to be finishing up the shopping early, especially since we will want to get our parcels sent out in a week or two.

First Snow!

Today we got our first snow of the winter season. It started this morning and kept going off and on all day. It was very wet so nothing accumulated on the ground and now it is raining. I was at work from 7 - 3:30 and I loved seeing it coming down! It always gives me a cozy feeling. Around the time when I came home from work it turned to rain.

I guess it is time to get the studded tires on the car, especially since I will be driving out to Fort Steele for work. I am going to do that on Thursday.

Christmas Is Coming

So it is October 25th and there is now only 2 months until Christmas. Wow! It is going to come pretty fast now. We were out shopping today and I noticed that the stores are already starting to get the Christmas stuff out! In just over a month, on November 29th we are going to Nelson for Blaine's staff Christmas party! I am so excited!

I hope everyone is well. Things are good here, although Blaine is sick and I am getting a cold. I am adjusting to my new job and things are going okay with that.

It has been getting cold overnight but the days are still beautiful and sunny.

A New Job

I got a new job and I start on Friday, October 17th. I will be the Assistant Manager at the Fort Steele Resort & RV Park. Hopefully things will work out good and I will like it.

Happy Thanksgiving!!!

Well it's Thanksgiving and we had a delicious Thanksgiving dinner! I did a ham because Blaine really wanted ham. I missed having turkey but the ham was really good... and we will have turkey at Christmas!! I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving!! Here are some pictures from our dinner.
