Arriving at the Lihue Airport and The Kauai Beach Resort on Kauai, Hawaii
We just got off the plane and stepped onto the Island of Kauai. It was a beautiful day! The airport was quite small and easy to get around. We went to wait for our bags and it was almost like we were outside. One side of the room was all open to the outside (no walls) so there was a nice breeze blowing in. It was very humid. It was awesome. I collected a bunch of brochures and tourist books while we waited for the bags. Then after we got our bags, we went outside so Blaine could have a smoke. We were standing there just looking around at the awesome scenery and plants. Then we had to wait a few minutes for a little Hertz bus to take us to the place where we would get our rental vehicle. It was basically just across a big parking lot.
This was at the airport.
Just got out of the airport. Waiting for Blaine to smoke before we go pick up our rental vehicle.

This was the view from our room at the resort. We got there early but luckily they let us check in early. They also upgraded us to an ocean view room at no charge because we were on our Honeymoon! They also gave us a free bottle of Champagne. We were so impressed with the resort. As you can see, it was absolutely beautiful. The grounds were so well kept. In this top pictures it looks like we were a ways from the ocean but it was actually really close. Every night we left the patio doors open and we could hear the ocean and when I opened my eyes in the morning I could see the ocean right from the bed. I loved it!!
More pictures of the view from our room. The pools were awesome too!! They had waterfalls! There was these three pools plus two hot pool, a sand bottom pool and a kids pool with a water slide!
The view was great!!

Looking off to the side from our patio, you see this. That is were the restaurant is and more rooms.
And this is looking to the other side from our patio. Just more rooms. I love the grounds though!
