New Years

Here are some pictures of our New Years. We went downtown to the celebration. It was really cold but there was a big bonfire which was nice. We got to watch some great live entertainment all night too.

Mexico!!

We're going to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico!! I have wanted to go for so long and a couple weeks ago I just decided that we should finally do it. I told Blaine about my idea and he was on board. So right away I started searching for a great vacation package. We got a great web page from a friend that has tons of reviews, by travellers, for all the different resorts wherever you want to go. I found this very helpful in my search because you get to hear what many people have to say about their experience at the resort you are looking at. I spent many, many hours looking at different packages and reading reviews.

So after a couple days I found a great all inclusive vacation for us, and we booked the time off work. I booked the vacation a few days ago!!! So it is all finalized and we are going April 5th and coming back on the 13th. I am so excited!! First stamps on our passports!

Christmas Day

Here are our Christmas pictures. Most are from Christmas morning. It was a great Christmas. It was nice and relaxing for us and we got lots of wonderful gifts. We didn't get pictures of all the gifts of course but just kind of grabbed the camera whenever we thought of it. We loved all our gifts. Thanks everyone!!

Bright Nights

On December 22 we went to Bright Nights (Edmonton's Winter Family Festival at Hawrelak Park) It's Canada’s Largest Christmas Festival of Lights. There are over 500 light displays! Here are just a few pictures, from that night, of the many displays. It was hard to get good steady pictures because I was taking the pictures from the car, so they are a little blurry!

Computer's Back

Finally!! My computer is fixed. I just picked it up after work today. Turns out there was a corrupted file, so the tech just had to remove the file and the computer is back to normal. I didn't lose anything which is great! It's a big relief because I thought that it might be something worse.

Anyway, now I can finally start my catch up posts...

Computer Update

So I took my computer out of Future Shop because they still hadn't even looked at it yet. I was a little upset about that because they had told me that it would take up to 14 days and at that point it still hadn't been looked at. When I went in to check on it, they didn't even know where it was. I was so worried!! The kid working there lied to me and said it was at the warehouse after he had already looked for it for about 10 minutes. Then when I told him they were supposed to call me after it was diagnosed and before they did any work on it, he "found it".

Anyway so I took it to Lap Top Depot today and I hope to have it back soon!

Happy Birthday

Happy Birthday Joshua! Today is my nephew's birthday. I can't believe he is 6!! It just doesn't seem like it has been that long. I love you Joshua.

It is also Blaine's Mom's birthday today. Happy birthday Debbie!!

Still Waiting

Well regrettably I am still waiting for my computer. I went tonight to check on it but they still haven't even looked at it. I am going to check again next week and might just take it somewhere else if they don't get on it. I am really missing it now. I want to put my Christmas and New Years pictures on!!

So far 2008 has just been all work. I haven't seen Blaine since the 1st except when I leave in the morning. Well this is life right now. Hopefully something awesome will happen soon!

A New Year

Happy New Year everyone!!!

Well, it is a new year and I am hoping that it will bring some new and exciting opportunities. We are looking forward to a good 2008 and hoping for some positive changes.

Last night for New Years Eve we went downtown to Sir Winston Churchill Square to bring in the new year with thousands of other Edmontonians. There was a big bonfire and lots of live entertainment. It was pretty cold out, around -17, but there was also live entertainment inside City Hall too so we could go in and warm up. I enjoyed standing close to the bonfire and watching the Celtic-Rock band that was playing on the main stage. There was horse drawn wagon rides going on and the horses were so cute!! There was outdoor skating on the fountain in the square and they had Bright Nights @ Sir Winston Churchill Square which is a bunch of nice displays of lights.


Of course, at the strike of midnight, there was fireworks! It was a great fireworks show. I got some pictures, of course, of our night but my computer is still not back with me yet. I am anxiously awaiting it's return.
