Our First Morning

The first full day we were in Kauai, I got up just before 6 am. It was awesome! I watched the sun coming up! Hawaiian time zone is 4 hour behind Mountain Time so we were able to get up get up really early every day while we were there. We went to bed early too. I really enjoyed getting up really early and having long days! The first morning, we went down to the restaurant and had a nice breakfast and then down to the beach for a little walk before heading out to explore!!

This is plumeria. I absolutely love these flowers. Plumeria trees are all over the place over there.
Having a delicious breakfast and relaxing!!!
I took these pictures from our table at breakfast. It is just so beautiful sitting outside.
There are birds everywhere!! It's actually really cool. They just walk and fly in and out of the windows and doors, etc... everything is open to the outdoors!
From our table.
Relaxing after a delicious meal.
Blaine, chowing down!
Another little bird.
Sitting beside the table. Getting ready to go.

Fish in the little pools by our table.
The beach at our resort.
So beautiful!

Ha ha... Trying to fix my hair!
These trees are so cool.

Ha ha... Blaine had his runners on and got them soaked!!

Beautiful hibiscus were everywhere!!
This duck lived at the resort!! So cute! He reminded us of Lacey because he loved getting his picture taken!!

Arriving at the Lihue Airport and The Kauai Beach Resort on Kauai, Hawaii

We just got off the plane and stepped onto the Island of Kauai. It was a beautiful day! The airport was quite small and easy to get around. We went to wait for our bags and it was almost like we were outside. One side of the room was all open to the outside (no walls) so there was a nice breeze blowing in. It was very humid. It was awesome. I collected a bunch of brochures and tourist books while we waited for the bags. Then after we got our bags, we went outside so Blaine could have a smoke. We were standing there just looking around at the awesome scenery and plants. Then we had to wait a few minutes for a little Hertz bus to take us to the place where we would get our rental vehicle. It was basically just across a big parking lot.

This was at the airport.
Just got out of the airport. Waiting for Blaine to smoke before we go pick up our rental vehicle.

This was the view from our room at the resort. We got there early but luckily they let us check in early. They also upgraded us to an ocean view room at no charge because we were on our Honeymoon! They also gave us a free bottle of Champagne. We were so impressed with the resort. As you can see, it was absolutely beautiful. The grounds were so well kept. In this top pictures it looks like we were a ways from the ocean but it was actually really close. Every night we left the patio doors open and we could hear the ocean and when I opened my eyes in the morning I could see the ocean right from the bed. I loved it!!
More pictures of the view from our room. The pools were awesome too!! They had waterfalls! There was these three pools plus two hot pool, a sand bottom pool and a kids pool with a water slide!
The view was great!!

Looking off to the side from our patio, you see this. That is were the restaurant is and more rooms.
And this is looking to the other side from our patio. Just more rooms. I love the grounds though!
Just got into our room. I had to take pictures. The room was nice and clean.

This is looking out towards the front of the resort from a open area at the end of our hallway. Those places that you can see are Villas where people buy time shares.
This is at the front of the Resort as you drive in. It's beautiful!!
Same thing but further back.
Here is our rental vehicle. It's an HHR and I loved it! It was brand new too. Only 1600 miles on it!!
Our licence plate!
More of the car!!

More to come!!!

On The Plane!

Here we are. We just got on the plane in San Fransisco and we are ready for a long (almost 5 hour) flight to Kauai, Hawaii!

Pictures flying over the Pacific Ocean. I thought it was really cool that you could see the shadows from the clowds on the water.

This was from the first flight... Spokane to San Fransisco. It's Mount Rainier. This was amazing!!
More to come from Kauai, Hawaii...

Getting Back To Normal...

Blaine and I got married on July 17th. Needless to say, it has been a very busy time for us. About the end of June I started to get very preoccupied with all the last minute wedding stuff. Then our family and friends started to arrive on July 12 and the days following were tons of fun and very busy.

We were so fortunate to have my Mom, my sisters: Bernadette and Charlene, and our niece Annabelle come to town on Monday, July 12. It was such a blessing to have them here for the whole week leading up to the wedding! Then on Tuesday, July 13 our great friend Terry came. It was so nice to have him here early too. On Wednesday, July 14, Blaine's Mom came. I was so glad to have a few days to spend with her too. It was truly a special time!

Friday, July 16th came quickly and it was time for the rehearsal. We did the rehearsal in the afternoon and then had an awesome family dinner at the clubhouse at St Eugene. Following dinner, we decorated the Chief David Room which was were the reception would be. This was a great evening and very memorable!

The next day was our wedding day... It was perfect! It was everything I had been dreaming that it would be.

Then the next day, completely exhausted, Blaine and I had breakfast with the family that was still around, said all our goodbyes and took all our stuff home. We packed and took care of last minute stuff and left town at about 9:30 pm for our Honeymoon. We drove to Spokane, arrived at 1:30 am (but gained an hour back so 12:30 Pacific). We slept for 3 hours at a hotel and then left for the Spokane airport at 3:30 am. After driving there, parking and checking in we didn't have too long to wait. Our flight left at 6 am and we were on our way. We had a quick stop in San Fransisco and then flew all the way to Hawaii. We arrived at 12 noon Hawaiian time. We stayed on Kauai, Hawaii and had a fantastic Honeymoon. It is one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen!

Our Wedding and Honeymoon were a dream come true for us and we thank everyone who helped us out along the way!!

We haven't got our wedding photos back yet from the photographer so I am going to post the honeymoon pictures first. It will take a few posts to get them all up because we took a lot of pictures!
