You Are a Tree

You love every part of the holidays, down to the candy canes and stockings. And you're goofy enough to put a Christmas tree ornament on your tree!

Awesome New Bed!!!!!!!!

Yesterday we finally had our new bed delivered!! I LOVE IT!! Last weekend (Saturday) we went down to Sleep Country and finalized everything and set up the date to have it delivered one week later. So all week I have been exited for Saturday. Yesterday I was at work when they came to deliver it, but Blaine was home to receive it. I couldn't wait to get home to see it. It is really high now which is cool. This my first really good bed and it is so comfortable!!! So anyway, here are some pictures of it. Check it out...

When I got home that evening we had to go out to get new sheets because all the old ones are too small now. The mattress is so much higher with the big pillowtop. I also really like the new sheets. They actually fit so good.

On another note, when we were at the Walmart Supercentre to get the new sheets, there was a big sign on the door that said that starting on December 1st they are going to be open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. That's cool. We can go shopping all night long!

It's a Sealy. Really good quality.

It's got a giant pillow top, so it's like sleeping on a cloud... hehehe. Those things on the side are just the tags that come off. We just didn't take them off yet.

Here is the new bed with the new sheets. Last night we both had a great sleep. I am so glad we got it!!!

Christmas Decorating

On Sunday, November 18th, we put up and decorated our Christmas tree!!! We put up our outside lights on the patio the week before that. I have not got pictures of the patio lights yet and I don't feel like going out into the cold tonight to take one so I will do that soon but I have posted some pictures of the tree. It really makes it feel cozy in the apartment with the lights on. Christmas will be here in no time now. Just over a month to go! I will be helping to decorate at work soon as well.

So every year our tree usually has all white lights but this year we decided to go with a bit of a change up and put coloured lights on. It looks great...

Me sitting by the tree. You can't really see the lights when the flash is on.

Here is one without the flash on so you can see the lights.

This one is with the flash again so you can't see the lights but you can see a lot of the pretty ornaments. I love all our ornaments. I will always think of my Grandma Atrill when I take out my old ornaments because she always gave us girls these beautiful ones. They are the oldest ones that I own and I love them. They have special memories for me.

Time Change and Winter is Coming!!!

Last night was the Daylight Savings time change and our first little snow fall. (Well we did have a little bit of snow a few days ago but hardly any, and it didn't stay on the ground.) I woke up early this morning because I had to work at 7 and there was a little bit of snow on the ground! I love how the snow looks. When I look out and see it, I feel all cozy. I would have taken a picture but didn't have time before I went to work.

We are going to dig out the Christmas lights from the storage room pretty soon now and get them up outside on the patio. It will be so nice. I love those LED lights that we got. The light looks so soft.

On Friday I got my winter tires put on my car. I am prepared early this year! I have a pretty big hill that I drive up and down every day on my way to and from work so I thought it would be a good idea to have the car ready before the roads get icy.

Well, I will get some new pictures on here soon too!!

Telus, Telus, Telus

All I have to say is "why????????" Why is my bill always wrong? I have called Telus so many times in the past 6 months, I can hardly believe it! It is unbelievable how everything has to be corrected numerous times. I just wish that one time they could just get it right without me having to waste my time explaining their mistakes to them!!!

Okay, okay, enough ranting...

On lighter note... they have some pretty cute mascots...

An Update

Well I can't believe that it is mid October already. We will have been in Edmonton 6 months at the end of the month. Wow! Things are going good. We have picked out the new bed that we want to get and are just waiting for the right time to get it. I can't wait!! It is so comfortable. The weather is still beautiful here. Today it was 19 degrees and sunny. Well soon enough it will be winter. I am actually looking forward to seeing the snow but just hope that it doesn't get too cold too fast. Well, it's just a quick update. That's all for now folks!

Our Thanksgiving Day

Our Thanksgiving day was nice. We were both off work so we got to sleep in. Then we got up and went out for a nice drive. It was a beautiful day out. We also went and did a little shopping. When we came home in the afternoon I started to prepare our dinner. I got to use the roaster oven that my Dad got for me and it worked great. The turkey was delicious!
Me just starting the preparation for dinner.

The roaster oven. It worked awesome. The turkey turned out great.

Our finished Thanksgiving dinner.
The turkey, just out of the oven. The roaster oven doesn't brown it very well but it cooks it so it is nice and moist. Very good.

I hope everyone else had a great thanksgiving day and a delicious dinner.

Autumn Pictures (the day after Blaine's Birthday)

September 30th. It was such a beautiful Autumn day so we went out and took some pictures. Then we went out for a delicious supper. I love this season. The beauty and the fresh, crisp air are so nice. We have had such a nice Autumn. It's been warm and just beautiful.

Blaine's Birthday

September 29th was Blaine's Birthday. I had planned to get him a cake and take him out for dinner. I got him a PlayStation 2 which he really wanted. Anyway I had to work 9 - 5 but the day turned into a horrible day for me. Nobody showed up for the closing shift and I couldn't get a hold of anyone so I ended up having to work until 10 PM, so I worked 13 hours and on top of it I was sick. So Blaine ended up spending the whole day by himself and by the time I got off it was too late to pick up the cake I wanted and to go out for dinner. I felt so bad. Well, I got the day after off so we went for dinner at Tony Roma's on the 30 instead. It was a really nice dinner and we ended up having a great time. I definitely recommend Tony Roma's!!

We didn't get any pictures unfortunately. Although we took some on the 30th. We went out and took some before dinner. I will include them on the next post.

Harvest Moon

We get awesome Harvest Moons here in Edmonton in the fall. I took these pictures about a week ago. It was even bigger and more orange when it was closer to the horizon but, I didn't take the pictures right away. I remember the first time I saw a Harvest Moon. I was in Edmonton on a holiday with my sister Charlene and we were in a hotel shuttle and we saw it and couldn't believe how big it was. It was so huge and orange.
